What are negative energies?

They are energies that interfere with emotional, spiritual, physical or mental aspects and prevent us from finding peace. They can generate feelings such as anxiety, depression… psychotic crises and can prevent you from moving forward in life.

How to protect ourselves against negative energies?

You can use salt for protection, cleanse bad energies and ward off envy.

Who would have thought that something so accessible to everyone can be used for protection, among other esoteric uses such as cleaning bad energies and warding off envy from our surroundings, with simple rituals.

Although it is true that salt had a bad reputation, since it has come to be considered bad luck, it is quite the opposite, since it offers us protection. Salt is an energy conductor, this allows to attract good energies, while negative energies come out, it is for this reason that it is widely used in energy cleansing rituals.

Negative energies exist if you believe in them

How to use salt to clean the bad energies of the home

Take a handful of salt and convey your wishes to ward off bad energies and attract positive energy to your home.

You can put this salt on any object or part of the house that you want to clean; however, it does not matter if it is the bedroom, the living room or the dining room, the salt will help absorb all that negative energy that accumulates when we spend too much time in them.

The bed is the place where we rest and where all the energies that we accumulate during the day are released (stress, anger, sadness), for this reason it is recommended to carry out an energetic cleaning of the bed, placing below and in the center, a glass with water and salt. If the salt rises to the surface, it means that the negative energy has been cleaned and eliminated, so you should throw the glass and its contents out of the home.

Do you have insomnia or have negative thoughts?

Put a bag of salt under your pillow and change it after 15 days.

Before using a Dzi, How to perform a purification of our DZI?

These gems have their own powers to communicate with you … they call you! It sounds strange, but it just happens naturally, although it may sound illogical.

The Dzis, preferably, are used in contact with the body, this is because the “Qi” (vital flow of energy) of your body will activate and “activate” the energy of the Dzi. Wear a collar with Dzi upright or in a bracelet by touching your wrist, you can place larger beads near you at your work desk or at home for positive energy. The Dzi energy will never stop (unless it breaks) if you take good care of yourself.

When we acquire or give us a Dzi or other stone amulet, it is advisable to clean it, purify it if we want to use it and above all, in the case of the Dzi that have surely been transmitted from one hand to another, since you do not know the energies with the ones you were in contact with before coming to you … you must purify it before using it.

The purification is similar to that done with natural stone crystals. In a small container with water add a little salt and leave your Dzi in the container, no more than 24 hours, if you fear that the salt can ruin your necklace, bracelet, you can let the water fall from the shower or from the tap on the for a minute or two. &

The Figa and Evil Eye

The Figa, Higa, Cigua, Fico, black hand, powerful hand, hand of jet, manina, manezuela, puñera, … is a symbol of protection against the evil eye, is represented with a left hand closed in fist and with the finger thumb between index finger and heart finger, shows a sign of contempt and protection from the evil eye and envy.

One attributed meaning is the sexual and reproductive aspect of the Figa gesture, the thumb being understood as representing the male figure, between the other two fingers; the female figure. Etymologically it comes from the word “fig”, the fruit of the fig tree, with habitual sexual connotations to the sex of the woman.

Figa Croatia

There are other similar and very similar amulets that have the same properties as the Hand of Fatima or “Hamsa”, which protects from evil in Muslim culture, as well as in Jewish culture with the “Hand of Mirian or Myiam”, both with the same shape but the bean with engravings of fish. In spite of the different versions that exist of the Figa, these have in common, none is related to some dark or malignant aspect.

For centuries they are very popular in the area of the North of Spain, mainly in the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, Galicia, Asturias and Castile-Leon. It is a typical amulet in “Santiago de Compostela”, which is one of the places of greatest influx of Christian pilgrimage for centuries and has been promoter and diffuser of this amulet thanks to the pilgrims who come to visit the tomb of the Apostle Santiago by the various roads and routes established since the middle ages and from all parts of the world.

As it is an amulet of pagan origin, during the Middle Ages, in Europe it was forbidden by the Catholic Church because of its strong pagan meaning, but it continued to be used equally, and to cover up the symbolism was cultivated various motifs such as geometric figures and even saints and Christian symbology.

Originating in the Iberian Peninsula and that with time was spreading all over the world. There are representations of this symbol in Egypt, prior to the 2nd millennium BC. represented with the hand open or closed like repellent of snakes. From here it has been exporting this amulet, mainly to the rest of Europe, in Italy continues to have great incidence and to all Latin America, mainly in Brazil is a very common and used amulet.

The Figs were specially indicated to neutralize the evil eye and the hexes, to undo black spells, moorings, to dispel envy and negativity.

It is advisable that the Figa or Higa be a breakable material, something that will happen when the amulet has defended us from some evil, negativity or evil eye, or that reaches the point that is not able to withstand more negativity, once this happens … must be buried. This happens with many other materials, stones and crystals used as amulets against evil or to achieve prosperity, can crack, break or change tonality.

The Azabache (Jet or Black Amber), is by par excellence, the most powerful raw material, esoterically speaking, and the most recommended for its magical and physical characteristics (not to extend too much, we can leave for another post much information on this peculiar stone with an antiquity of 60 million years) to use it as Figa for its powers against evil eye and envy.

Tibetan DZI. Introduction and meaning regarding the number of Eyes.

The DZI comes from the Central Asia region, and are generally found in an area that spans Afghanistan, Iran, Tibet, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma and Thailand.
They come in many sizes and shapes, from tiny carnelian engravings to large dzi with multiple eyes and stripes.

The meaning of the Tibetan word “Dzi” translates to “brilliance, clarity, splendor”. Grains originate in the Tibetan cultural sphere and can be very expensive and difficult to obtain. They are found mainly in Tibet, but also in neighboring Bhutan, Ladakh and Sikkim. Shepherds and peasants gather them in the meadows or in the fields of cultivation. Because the Dzi are found on earth, Tibetans can not conceive of them as man-made. Since knowledge of origin is derived from oral traditions, few accounts have provoked more controversy as to its source, method of manufacture and even precise definition. All of this contributes to making them the most sought after and collectible beads on earth.

Some Dzi protect their wearer from negative energies or accidents, some attract wealth or wisdom, while others can bring you love and happiness.

One thing to remember about these curious little stones is this, a Dzi stone can repel things, but you can also store them. When a negative energy comes to you, your stone can block or absorb it. They can also give you very positive energies. In other words, a little of them enter you and some of you will enter them.

There seems to be inaccuracies about the dating of the original “pure” Dzi, the most common error is to claim that it is in the 8th century. This error comes from a date found in the grain collector bible “The History of Grains” by Lois Sherr Dubin, where Dzi is placed on the “map of time” in AD 700 along with the introduction of Buddhism in the Tibet. However, if the reference numbers are checked against the accounts, the detail indicates that the actual dates are unknown. This is because Tibetans have never allowed archaeological excavations in Tibet, so accurate field dates can not be established. The assumption was that the Dzi is connected with Tibetan Buddhism, then the pearls are tied around the same date that Buddhism began. &

In fact, it is widely understood by Tibetans that the Dzi were part of the Bonpo tradition that preceded Buddhism in Tibet and dates back 4,000 years or more, and some of the older Dzi as Phum Dzi are believed to have arrived from this moment. It is said that the chiefs used to wear them in their ceremonial robes and when they died they were cremated in their ceremonial dresses and the buried remains. This conjecture mainly can not be proved, but would explain why Dzi balls are often found on the ground and why so many are stained, burned or broken, since the heat of the pyre would have been very likely to damage the beads .

This is not to be confused with chips in beads, which could be accidental as agate is a hard stone, but fragile, but it can also be deliberately. A Tibetan from Lhasa revealed that the beads were deliberately splintered as medicinal or religious offerings, or to include as part of a burial offering over the previous owner’s death, which may not be as well known. Therefore, beads with small chips in them generally do not affect the value of the beads, and may even be considered desirable, especially if they were for medicinal purposes, since it would be considered to have an intrinsic power to be chosen for such purposes .

There is another desirable feature found in Dzi beads known as blood stains or cinnabar stains, probably caused by particles of oxidizing iron inside the stone, also known as Martik by Tibetans, for whom these stains are of great importance.

How were the DZI created?

The great mystery of the old Dzi and the engraved carnelians and how they managed to get the marks on the surface without breaking or cracking the stone. The family of silica, which includes chalcedony, agate and carnelian, is particularly susceptible to heat, which will break or even break the stone. The technique of how to heat it without damaging it was only discovered in recent times, using a sophisticated technology that involves heating the stone in a vacuum. As the agate is porous, there is air and moisture inside the stone that when heated, expands and causes it to crack. In a vacuum, the air has been removed, thereby greatly reducing the chance of cracking of the stone when heated.
